(and maybe a cape or two) to celebrate the heart
and soul of healthcare—
our incredible nurses.

Nurse Spotlights – Meet a Couple of Our Heroes

Nurse Spotlights – Meet a Couple of
Our Heroes

Whether you’re walking hospital halls or flying across the country to answer the call, your dedication, skill, and compassion
don’t just make a difference—they save lives.

We’re honored to spotlight just a few of our nurses who’ve gone above and beyond. Each story is a reminder that superheroes don’t always wear capes—sometimes they wear scrubs, sneakers, and carry coffee in one hand and comfort in the other.  From all of us at Century Health Staffing Services, thank you for being the everyday superheroes you are.

Valerie E. – L&D RN

Growing up I always wanted to be more. I wanted to be somebody special and to make an impact in life. Becoming a Registered Nurse has given me that opportunity to truly be there for people at their most vulnerable time and to truly make a difference.

Working in Labor and Delivery has its challenges and some days I feel like I'm just doing my job, surviving my shift, and at the end of the day my patient tells me, "Thank you, I couldn't have done it without you. You really helped me." Comments like this really inspire me to continue being that driving force that people need when they feel like they can't push forward any longer.

Being a Registered nurse really impacted my life in a positive way and I'm thankful for the opportunities and experiences I've gained in being a part of my patients journeys.

DARCY C. – OR RN

I initially pursued nursing with the goal of finding financial stability, but what I found was so much more than a paycheck—I found a purpose. It wasn’t until I stepped into the operating room that I truly fell in love with the profession. There’s something powerful about being part of a team that works in perfect sync, often during the most critical moments of a patient’s life. The precision, the intensity, and the privilege of being trusted during surgery taught me what it really means to care for someone. Nursing has become a source of pride and passion for me, and I’m grateful for the unexpected journey that led me to where I am today.

Jundell C. – ICU RN

Transitioning from being a nursing lecturer in the Philippines to working in the ICU has been both a challenging and fulfilling journey. While the demands of critical care can be intense, I find deep purpose in supporting patients and their families during some of their most difficult moments. Every day brings an opportunity to apply my knowledge, learn something new, and make a real difference in someone’s life. It’s a tough job, but the reward of seeing patients recover and knowing I played a role in their healing makes it all worthwhile.
